now what.png
This is an exciting moment in your child's faith journey! When a child accepts Jesus as their Savior, it marks the beginning of an incredible and powerful relationship with Him. As a parent or caretaker, you play a vital role in helping your child grow in their new faith.

We are excited to partner with you in nurturing your child's spiritual journey! We want to celebrate the growth in your child's life and desire to help you guide them towards a deeper understanding and appreciation of their faith.
Choosing to follow Christ by praying to receive salvation is the most important decision your child will ever make! We want to help ensure that they have a solid understanding of what it really means to invite Jesus to be their Lord and Savior and devote their life to following Him.

It's important to reinforce what salvation means. Here are some key truths to discuss with your child:
  • Jesus loves them unconditionally (John 3:16).
  • Their sins are completely forgiven (1 John 1:9).
  • They are now a child of God (John 1:12).
  • God has a special plan for their life (Jeremiah 29:11).
  • The Holy Spirit is with them to help and guide them (John 14:26).

Here are ways to help your child grow in their relationship with Jesus:

DAILY PRAYER: Teach them how to pray and encourage open conversations with God.
BIBLE READING: Start with easy-to-understand Bible stories and key verses like
John 3:16, Romans 10:9, and Psalm 119:105.
CHURCH INVOLVEMENT: Help them get connected in Rock Creek Kids and build friendships with other believers.
WORSHIP TOGETHER: Encourage worship at home and at church to strengthen their love for God.
SERVING OTHERS: Show them how to live out their faith by loving and helping others.
talking about baptism 1.png
Once your child has given their life to Christ, their next step is to learn about baptism. This is a significant step in their spiritual journey and a way to publicly declare faith in Jesus.
We choose to be baptized because Jesus was baptized and because of the decision we made to be a disciple of Christ.
Baptism is a celebration of what God has done on the inside of us and to show others that we are a follower of Jesus.
  • Acts 2:38
  • Matthew 3:13-17
  • Matthew 28:19-20
  • 2 Corinthians 5:17
  • Romans 6:4
face challenges.png
As they grow, your child will have questions and face challenges in their faith.

Encourage them to:
  • Ask questions and seek understanding through God's Word.
  • Rely on Jesus when they make mistakes, knowing His love never changes.
  • Surround themselves with friends who encourage their faith.
  • Trust God in all situations and pray for His guidance.
